Electricity consumption in Russia in 2020 decreased by 2.3%

Electricity consumption in Russia in 2020 decreased by 2.3%, to 1.05 trillion kWh, production - by 3%, to 1.064 trillion kWh, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation reported.

In December 2020, electricity consumption amounted to 104.9 billion kWh with increase of 2.2% compared to December 2019. Electricity production in December 2020 amounted to 106.6 billion kWh, showing an increase of 2% over the same period of the previous year.
