In Armenia, electricity generation decreased by 2.7% over 6 months

Armenia generated 4,270.1 million kWh of electricity in the first half of 2023, which is 2.7% less than in the same period in 2022.

This is evidenced by the data published by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.

The largest share of generated electricity - 49.1% - is accounted for by thermal power plants: the volume of generation is 1884.9 million kWh, a decline of 6.8%. The share of HPPs (output - 915.8 million kWh, decline by 18.5%) - accounts for 23.4%, and the share of ANPP (volume - 1286.8 million kWh, growth by 12.9%) - 22, 6%.

Solar power plants (share - 4.9%) during the reporting period produced 181.4 million kWh of electricity (growth by 79.9%), and wind power plants (share - close to 0%) - 1.2 million kWh (growth by 4, 1%).
