The chairman of the Executive Committee of
the CIS Electric Power Council - Kupchikov Taras Vyacheslavovich
Born on April 5, 1969 in the city of Tekeli, Toldi-Kurgan region, Kazakhstan.
In 1986 he graduated from a school in the city of Dzhambul (Taraz) and began his career as an electrician of the MSCDTU Service of the Dzhambul enterprise of electric networks (DPES).
From 1987 to 1989 he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces in the city of Frunze (Bishkek), Kyrgyzstan.
In 1997 he graduated from the Moscow Energy Institute (Technical University) with a degree in relay protection and emergency automation.
In 1997, he worked as an engineer at the Energosetproekt Institute.
From 2000 to 2002, he worked in the Department of Development of the Electricity Market RAO "UES of Russia".
From 2002 to 2007, he headed the Department of Strategic Planning of FSK UES OJSC.
From 2007 to 2009, he served as deputy director for the development of technology for the dispatch management of OJSC “SB EES”.
From 2009 to 2011, he worked as the first deputy general director of OJSC NTC Electric power.
From 2011 to 2021, he worked in various senior positions in the group of PJSC Inter RAO.
Since 2016, he has been the director of international relations of the Russian National Committee of CIGRE (CONSEIL International des Grands Réseaux Electriques - International Council for Large Electric Systems of High Stress).
On December 28, 2021, he was elected chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Council.
