Azerbaijani Energy Minister names growth in electricity production

In January-August 2022, electricity production in Azerbaijan increased by 2.6%.
Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote about this on Twitter.
The publication states that over 19.115 billion kWh of electricity was produced in the country during this period.
"The share of exports accounted for 14.06 billion kWh, imports - 94.3 million kWh of electricity," the publication says.
In January-August 2022, the production of electricity from renewable energy sources (RES), including hydroelectric power plants, exceeded 1.555 billion kWh.
The publication says that this figure increased by 352.6 million kWh compared to the same period in 2021.
