Chisinau plans to sign a long-term contract for the supply of electricity from the Moldavskaya GRES. This was announced by Minister of Energy Viktor Parlikov on the air of the Territory of Freedom program on Rlive TV.
“There is an intention to conclude a longer-term contract with a significant price reduction,” the minister said, without providing other details.
It should be reminded that every month Energocom prolongs the contract with MGRES on the purchase of electricity. In March, the price is $73/MWh. Chisinau purchases about 244,000 MWh from MGRES, which is 88% of the energy needs of the Right Bank consumers. The rest is purchased from the Romanian company Nuclearelectrica and on the Romanian exchange OPCOM.
