The project "Development of Renewable Energy in Kyrgyzstan" is under preparation and will focus on (i) the development and reconstruction of small hydropower plants; (ii) preparation of a solar energy pilot project, including network strengthening; and (iii) technical assistance for the preparation of the Kambarata-1 HPP project.

The Project Development Objective for Phase I is to increase hydropower generation and enhance integration into the renewable energy grid in the Kyrgyz Republic.
