On June 8, under the leadership of Denis Kovalev, Deputy General Director-Chief Dispatcher of State Production Association "Belenergo", an intersystem emergency response training was held for the operational and dispatching personnel of the unified power system of Belarus.

The training was attended by dispatchers of the administrative apparatus of the State Production Association "Belenergo", central dispatching services of RUE "Minskenergo", RUE "Brestenergo", RUE "Grodnoenergo" and RUE "Gomelenergo", as well as operational personnel of the Belarusian NPP and backbone substations 220-750 kV.

The purpose of the training was to work out the interaction of operational and dispatching personnel in the event of emergency situations in the power system of Belarus, as a result of which a part of the unified power system was allocated for isolated operation as part of the Minsk, Grodno and Brest regional power systems.

According to the training legend, the emergency situation began with a shutdown of 330 kV high-voltage overhead lines as a result of adverse weather events, which led to a cascade overload of 110-330 kV parallel lines and equipment shutdown.

The operational and dispatching personnel of the power system successfully solved the problem of restoring the normal frequency level in the isolated part of the power system, synchronizing it with the unified power system of Belarus and localizing local emergency situations.

During the training, a high level of operational and dispatching personnel training was noted in the analysis of post-accident modes, the rapid adoption of complex dispatching decisions and the competent management of subordinate personnel.

The training made it possible to test and consolidate the skills of the operational and dispatching personnel of the power system of Belarus in the conditions of non-trivial emergency situations.
