EAEU statistics for 2023 published
The Department of Statistics of the Eurasian Economic Commission has published a monthly analytical review of the main socio-economic indicators of the Eurasian Economic Union for January – December 2023.
In January–December 2023, there was an increase in industrial production of the EAEU by 3.7%, the volume of construction work performed by 8.6%, and retail trade turnover by 6.6%. Gross domestic product for January–December 2023, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 2,391.9 billion US dollars (103.8% compared to the level of January–December 2022).
Freight turnover during this period increased in Kyrgyzstan (by 8.2%) and Kazakhstan (by 3.1%), passenger turnover - in Armenia (by 63.3%), Russia (by 12.8%), Kazakhstan (by 10. 3%), Kyrgyzstan (by 8.7%) and Belarus (by 7.8%).
The level of registered unemployment in the EAEU amounted to 0.8% of the labor force.
The main socio-economic indicators for January – December 2023 are calculated, in addition to US dollars, in the currencies of the EAEU member states.
