Electric power companies of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have signed an agreement on the supply of electricity
The electric power companies of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have signed an agreement on the supply of Tajik electricity to the neighboring republic in the coming spring-summer period.
This was announced by the head of OAHK "Barki Tojik" Mahmadumar Asozoda at a press conference in Dushanbe.
He noted that the parties, in particular, agreed on volumes and tariffs, according to which Uzbekistan will receive 1.4 billion kWh of electricity in the summer at 2 cents for each kWh.
At the same time, the head of the OSHC "Barki Tojik" noted that currently Tajikistan does not supply electricity to Uzbekistan.
As for the relatively low tariff, it is tied to the cost of natural gas supplied by Uzbekistan to the Dushanbe-2 thermal power plant at relatively low prices.
In addition, during the summer period, Tajikistan supplies electricity in the amount of 1.5 billion kWh at a price of 4.65 cents per kilowatt.
