Electricity consumption in 2022 in the UES of the Russian Federation increased by 1.5%, up to 1.11 trillion kWh - SO UPS

Electricity consumption in the Unified Power System (UPS) of Russia in 2022 increased by 1.5% - up to 1.11 trillion kWh, generation amounted to 1.12 trillion kWh, follows from the materials of the System Operator of the Unified Power System (SO UPS).

"Electricity generation by power plants of the UPS of Russia in 2022 amounted to 1,121.5 billion kWh. Electricity consumption in 2022 amounted to 1,106.3 billion kWh," the published "Report on the functioning of the UPS of Russia in 2022" says.

It follows from the table in the materials that, in percentage terms, the growth in consumption by 2021 amounted to 1.5%.
