Electricity generation in the Kyrgyz Republic in January-November 2022 decreased by 13%, imports increased by 1.9 times
Electricity generation in January-November 2022 decreased by 13%, follows from the data of the Kyrgyz Energy Settlement Center OJSC.
The power plants of the republic generated 11.8 billion kWh in 11 months.
Electricity generation structure:
• hydroelectric power plants generated 14% less electricity — 9.9 billion kWh;
• Bishkek and Osh CHPPs generated 9.3% less electricity — 1.7 billion kWh;
• Small HPPs increased electricity generation by 5% to 164 million kWh.
In November 2022, electricity imports increased by 70% compared to the same month in 2021, according to the data of the Kyrgyz Energy Settlement Center OJSC.
Electricity import amounted to 183.5 million kWh. Power deliveries were made from:
• Kazakhstan — 110 million kWh;
• Uzbekistan — 59.2 million kWh;
• Turkmenistan — 14.3 million kWh.
For 11 months of 2022, imports increased by 1.9 times - up to 2 billion 785.2 million kWh.
