Electricity production in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 11 months

According to operational data for January-November 2023, the total volume of electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 26,487.5 million kWh. Compared to the same period last year, electricity production increased by 223.0 million kWh (0.8%).

In January-November, electricity production at thermal power plants amounted to 24,525.1 million kWh, at hydroelectric power plants - 1,636.5 million kWh, and from other sources - 325.9 million kWh. The wind farm produced 54.3 million kWh of electricity, the solar power plant produced 69.7 million kWh, and the solid waste incineration plant produced 201.9 million kWh.

During the reporting period, electricity generation at Azerenerji OJSC amounted to 23,894.9 million kWh (22,363.3 million kWh at thermal power plants, 1,531.6 million kWh at hydroelectric power plants),

444.2 million kWh at the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Power Plant (295.5 million kWh at thermal power plants, 90.9 million kWh at thermal power plants, 90.9 million kWh at hydroelectric power plants, 57.8 million kWh at SPP), 40.1 million kWh at the wind farms of Azerishig OJSC and 2108.3 million kWh at the Independent EPP).

In January-November 2023, electricity exports amounted to 2,752.7 million kWh, imports - 200.8 million kWh.

It is worth noting that electricity generation in the republic in November 2023 amounted to 2453.4 million kWh. During the month, imports of electricity production products amounted to 10.6 million kWh, exports – 401.2 million kWh.
