Export of electricity from the Russian Federation in 10 months fell by 40.3%
The volume of power supplies from Russia abroad over a period of January-October 2020 decreased to 9.72 billion kWh, by 40.3% compared to the same period in 2019, follows from the materials of the Federal Customs Service. Exports in monetary terms over a period of January-October amounted to $ 382.6 million (-49.1%). At the same time, directly in October, the volume of supplies amounted to 1.06 billion kWh ($ 39.3 million). This is 21.2% less than the September sales level.
Electricity imports over a period of January-October amounted to 1,083.3 million kWh ($ 18.9 million), which is 20.1% less than over the same period in 2019. In particular, in October, 118.1 million kWh were supplied to Russia from abroad, which is 15.2% more than the volume of September supplies. The operator of the export-import of electricity to the Russian Federation is PJSC Inter RAO.
