How much was the electricity capacity of the Kyrgyz Republic increased due to the reconstruction and construction of hydroelectric power plants, small hydroelectric power plants and solar power plants
In 2023, the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic was able to increase power capacity through the reconstruction of hydroelectric power, the commissioning of small hydroelectric power stations and solar power plants.
For example, in 2023, during the reconstruction of hydraulic units of a hydroelectric power plant, the capacity increased to 65.6 MW, during the construction of a solar power plant - 430 kW and 6.7 MW during the commissioning of small hydroelectric power plants. In particular, in 2023 the total capacity was 72.73 MW.
In addition, with an increase in the amount of water, it is planned to commission a small hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 58.9 MW.
Of these, it is planned to put into operation the Bala-Saruu hydroelectric station, which is being built at public expense, in the near future.
And in 2024, it is planned to put into operation a small hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 50.6 MW, as well as increase the capacity to 69 MW through the reconstruction of the Toktogul hydroelectric plant and Uch-Korgon hydroelectric power plant. This means that in 2024 a total of 119.6 MW of capacity will be added.
Every work carried out by the Ministry of Energy is a step towards solving the energy crisis.
