In Azerbaijan, the population will be able to receive a report on energy consumption

In Azerbaijan, customers will be able to receive detailed information on energy consumption.

This issue is reflected in the new draft law “On the efficient use of energy resources and energy efficiency”.

According to the draft low, the energy supplier will ensure the availability of information on consumed energy for end users.

Thus, the consumer will be submitted with consumption data transmitted from the meter via the Internet or received from the meter interface for any period (month and year), covering at least the last three years and adapted to regularly presented accounting periods.

According to article 12.2 of the draft low, the energy supplier must take care about:

12.2.1. provision of information on the consumed energy to the consumer and, with the consent of the consumer, to the energy efficiency service provider in a form that allows monitoring regularly, easily, clearly and with the possibility of comparison with the same period;

12.2.2. creation the ability to send consumers information about energy consumption in electronic form, as well as providing them with a clear and understandable explanation of the consumed energy based on consumer request.

12.3. The information stipulated by the article is provided to the consumer by the energy supplier free of charge.
