In Belarus, the cost of electricity from RES was equated to tariffs for industry
Alexander Lukashenko signed the law "On the regulation of relations in the field of the use of renewable energy sources."
The law allows the involvement of installations of renewable energy sources (block stations operating on RES) in the regulation of the daily schedule of the electrical load of the Belarusian energy system.
Prices for electricity produced from renewable energy sources are set at the level of tariffs for industrial consumers with a connected capacity of up to 750 kVA. At the same time, minimum incentive coefficients will be applied, regardless of the period of operation of RES installations.
The values of the coefficients used in the formation of electricity tariffs will be established by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, depending on the type of renewable energy sources, electric power, the actual service life of the equipment of such installations at the date of their commissioning and other parameters.
Earlier it was reported that in 2020 the total electric capacity of renewable energy installations in Belarus was estimated at 491 MW.
The structure of RES in Belarus: 97% - biomass, 3% - water, wind and solar energy.
