KEGOC JSC reviewed the project for the long-term development of the National Electric Grid until 2035.

Within the framework of the project, the issue of constructing a direct current transmission line from the North to the South of Kazakhstan (from Ekibastuz to Zhambyl) is also being considered.

If a positive decision is made regarding the implementation of this initiative, there is no need to build a power transmission line by the Russian side through Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan.

KEGOC JSC plans to resume work on preparing a feasibility study for the construction of a direct current transmission line, included in the Company’s development strategy until 2032.
