Kyrgyzstan and Armenia will cooperate in the field of electricity generation through small hydropower technologies

On September 21, the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Taalaibek Ibraev, signed a memorandum with the first deputy head of the Tashir group of companies of the Republic of Armenia, Karen Darbinyan.

As part of the signed document, it is planned to cooperate in the field of generating electrical energy using the technologies of small hydroelectric and solar power plants, as well as the production of power grid equipment for distribution networks in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

T. Ibraev said that the memorandum will serve as the basis for close cooperation in the field of introducing modern technologies in the construction and operation of solar and hydroelectric power plants in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as optimizing the electricity distribution sector and reducing losses in networks.
