Kyrgyzstan started receiving electricity from Kazakhstan
“At present we receive electricity from Kazakhstan,” said Jyrgalbek Sagynbaev, Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use, at a press conference in Bishkek on November 20.
According to him, under the previous government, a government resolution was signed according to which, Kyrgyzstan entered into an agreement with the Kazakh side on the import of electricity in the amount of 500 mln kWh in order to save water in the Toktogul hydroelectric power station providing less water consumption.
