On April 7, 2022, NRU MPEI hosted a meeting with N.D. Rogalev - NRU MPEI Rector with representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus.
The delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus D.R. Moroz. From the Russian side, the meeting was attended by: Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Power Council T.V. Kupchikov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Power Council V.E. Bormatin, Head of the Strategy Department of the CIS Electric Power Council Executive Committee O.Yu. Frolova, Advisor to the Department of Economic Cooperation of the CIS Executive Committee A.A. Ivliev.
During the meeting, both sides discussed possible projects of NRU "MPEI" in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
A film about NRU MPEI was shown to the guests, after which N.D. Rogalev spoke about the training of engineers for the energy industry and training using the distance learning system at our university.
Director of the Electric Power Industry Institute V.N. Tulsky shared his experience of cooperation between MPEI and companies and enterprises. Vice-Rector for International Relations A.E. Tarasov spoke about the successful cooperation of NRU "MPEI" with universities and organizations of the CIS countries.
The guests were given a tour of the Institute of Electricity, the Department of Electric Power Systems and the center of the National Technology Initiative "Technologies for the transportation of electricity and distributed intelligent energy systems." The guests also visited the Department of Hydropower and Renewable Energy Sources.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on active cooperation in the scientific field and on the development of proposals for enhancing cooperation in the field of training professional personnel for the energy industry of the CIS countries, including the Republic of Belarus.
