On the preparation of energy facilities of the Republic of Belarus for operation in the autumn-winter period
On July 29, 2021, the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus hosted a press conference “On the preparation of housing and communal services and energy facilities of Belarus and the city of Minsk for operation in the autumn-winter period”. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, State Production Association "Belenergo", State Production Association "Beltopgaz", Gosenergogaznadzor, SA "Minsk City Housing Industry".
Deputy Chief Engineer of the Belenergo State Production Association Evgeny Panteley, speaking at the press conference, noted that the Belenergo State Production Association approved organizational and technical measures to ensure a stable and reliable power supply to consumers.
In 2021, it is planned to carry out overhauls of electrical and heating equipment, electrical and heating networks. Over the first half of the year, more than 50% of the planned repairs were completed. The work on creating a stock of heating oil is nearing completion; today the operating stock is about 330 thousand tons. A fire prevention plan is being implemented, which includes about 48 actions. The fire-fighting systems, smoke removal systems, fire-fighting water supply facilities were checked by the commission.
By the forthcoming autumn-winter period, 1,429 divisions have been formed and staffed to carry out emergency recovery operations, with a total number of more than 7.3 thousand people. There are 186 diesel power plants on the balance of power supply organizations. The order of operational groups actions during operation in an emergency mode in conditions of low temperatures has been worked out.
Mr. Panteleev expressed confidence that the organizations of the State Production Association "Belenergo" will prepare for the upcoming heating season in a high-quality and timely manner.
According to Mr. Stasenko, the head of the heat engineering inspection department of the State Energy and Gas Supervision Service, in the republic as a whole, Certificates of readiness to operation during the autumn-winter period of 2021/2022 are subject to issuance by September 30 for 29109 heat consumers and 10 315 heat sources, including 3172 passports for the city of Minsk consumers and 432 passports of heat sources.
