Power generation in the Russian Federation in January-May 2021 increased by 5.6% and energy consumption - by 4.7%, - CDU TEK

Power generation in Russia in the period from January to May 2021 increased by 5.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 482.9 billion kWh, reports TASU (Telegraph Agency of Soviet Union) with reference to the materials of the Central Dispatch Office (CDU) of the Fuel and Energy Complex .

Energy consumption in January - May 2021 increased in annual terms by 4.7%, to 473.1 billion kWh.

For five months of 2021, power generation in the UPS of Russia amounted to 475.7 billion kWh, which is 5.8% more than a year earlier.

At the same time, in May, according to the Central Dispatch Office of the Fuel and Energy Complex, the production reached 84.8 billion kWh (+ 8.3% compared to May 2020), and the consumption  reached 83.2 billion kWh (+7.3 %).
