Power consumption in the first three months of 2021 in Russia as a whole amounted to 301.5 billion kWh, which is 3.9% more than in the same period in 2020 (excluding consumption on February 29 of a leap year 2020 - higher by 5, 0%). In the UES of Russia, the indicator increased by the same 3.9%, reaching 296.9 billion kWh (excluding consumption on February 29 of a leap year 2020 - higher by 5.1%), according to the message of the UES System Operator (SO UPS ).
At the same time, power generation in Russia as a whole increased by 4.9% - up to 308.3 billion kWh, and in the UPS of Russia - by 5% - up to 303.6 billion kWh (excluding the influence of February 29 of the leap year 2020 the growth in output in January-March 2021 amounted to 6.1% for the UPS of Russia, 6.0% for Russia as a whole).
Including in the UPS of Russia, the generation of TPPs amounted to 180 billion kWh (+ 7%), HPPs - 47.3 billion kWh (-4.7%), NPPs - 57.2 billion kWh (+7, 8%), power plants of industrial enterprises - 17.9 billion kWh (+ 0.5%).
