The Russian Federation and Belarus intend to conclude agreements on the unification of energy markets, including electricity, oil and gas, within the framework of the Union State. As Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday, September 9, such an agreement was reached during his talks with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in the Kremlin.

"It is envisaged to conclude an agreement on the unification of oil and oil products markets, as well as an agreement on a unified electricity market," said the Russian leader, TASS agency reports.

In addition, he noted, Moscow and Minsk intend to sign a document on the creation of a unified gas market within the Union State by December 1, 2023.
