The volume of Russian electricity exports in 2023 amounted to 10.7 billion kWh compared to 13.6 billion kWh a year earlier, Alexandra Panina, a member of the Management Board of PJSC Inter RAO, said on Saturday.

“Our exports amounted to about 10.7 billion kWh. Last year it was about 13.6 billion kWh,” she told reporters on the sidelines of the Russia exhibition at VDNKh. Thus, the volume of supplies decreased by 21.3%

In general, the company assesses export results as quite good. “Last year, until May inclusive, we still had deliveries to the European Union countries... Roughly speaking, we achieved record volumes of supplies if we had excluded supplies to the European Union countries in all the years of our supply,” Panina explained.

She also added that last year the company supplied record volumes of electricity to Kazakhstan - 4.7 billion kWh, and to Mongolia - 900 billion kWh.

“We turned to the East and exceeded what we had originally planned,” summarized Panina.
