Tajikistan will join the Integrated Power System of Central Asia in April 2024, Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma told reporters on Monday.
“Our part consists of two components: the western system is ready for connection, there are problems with the northern one, since this winter there was a large consumption of electricity ... Tajikistan will join the Integrated Power System of Central Asia in April 2024, by which time both components will be ready” , - he said.
According to the minister, a 500 kV power transmission line in the west of the country of will be connected in the coming days. “There were delays on the line to the north, as it took even longer to work with it, as the need for electricity increased this winter in both Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. And taking into account the load this winter, we had to work more time on this site,” he added.
