Taras Kupchikov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Power Council, took part in a meeting of the Commission on Economic Issues under the CIS Economic Council

On July 20, 2022, Taras Kupchikov, Chairman of the CIS EPC Executive Committee, spoke at a meeting of the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council with a report on the activities of the CIS Electric Power Council in 2019–2021.

The Report provides information on the activities carried out by the CIS EPC during the reporting period, on the activities of the working structures of the Council, the developed and adopted regulatory and technical documents, cooperation with industry bodies of the CIS and international organizations, in particular:

- 6 meetings of the EEC of the CIS were held and 91 issues were considered, in particular, 28 meetings of the working structures of the EEC of the CIS were held, following which 19 issues were considered;

- 6 meetings of the Commission for Operational and Technological Coordination of the Joint Work of the Energy Systems of the CIS and the Baltic States (KOTC) were held, 46 regulatory, technical and reporting decisions were made;

- 5 international seminars and 3 international conferences were held;

- 71 publications were prepared and issued.

As part of its activities, the CIS EPC interacts with the member states of the CIS EPC, the CIS EC, industry bodies of the CIS, as well as the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Coordinating Electric Power Council of the IPS of Central Asia, the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific Ocean ( UNESCAP), International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), World Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century REN 21, etc.

The Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council decided to approve the activities of the CIS Electric Power Council in 2019–2021 and introduce  the submitted materials to the CIS Economic Council for consideration.
