The acceptance of abstracts of reports of the IX International Scientific and Technical Conference “Development and Improvement of Electrical Distribution Networks Reliability” has been announced
The organizers of the IX International Scientific and Technical Conference “Development and Improvement of Reliability of Electrical Distribution Networks” have approved thematic areas of reports, the discussion of which is planned within the framework of the event. The full list, structured in five areas, is given below.
1. Conceptual issues of distribution networks
- Methodological basis and necessary changes in scientific and technical documentation
- Assessment of power supply reliability indicators (continuation of the dialogue of the 2023 Conference)
- Structures, models and tools for assessing reliability indicators of distribution networks
- Prioritization of investments to achieve specified indicators of power supply reliability
- Criteria for the need to use small-scale generation installations, energy storage systems, solar and wind power plants, etc.
2. Organization of maintenance and repair in distribution networks
- Diagnostics and assessment of the technical condition of electrical equipment
- Organization of repair planning based on technical condition in distribution networks
- Technologies and equipment for obtaining up-to-date data from various diagnostic methods
- Application of various types of robotic systems for diagnostics and maintenance of electrical network facilities
- Methods for assessing and forecasting the technical condition of distribution network facilities to ensure planning of repairs based on technical condition
3. Modern technologies and materials for construction, reconstruction and maintenance in distribution networks
– Equipment for cable and overhead power lines
– Substation equipment, etc. (excluding automation and PSP)
4. Automation of networks and production processes
– Automation of operational management of electrical distribution networks up to 35 kV
– Hardware and software systems for monitoring technical condition during the operation of distribution networks
– The use of mobile solutions in the operation of distribution networks, the need to amend technical regulations for the possibility of their use
– Experience in using intelligent metering devices and quality control of electrical energy
– Schemes for constructing relay protection and automation in distribution networks up to 35 kV
– Digital URZAI, methods of their maintenance and configuration
– Modern methodological basis for calculating PSP parameters in an automated distribution network
– Application and prospects for the use of emergency event recorders at substations
5. Occupational health and safety culture
– Analysis of existing gaps and shortcomings in the current Labor Safety Rules during the operation of electrical installations and the necessary changes in them
– Analysis of the effectiveness of best practices in the field of reducing injuries and increasing occupational safety
– Application of augmented reality technologies and VR simulators for training and advanced training of production personnel of power grid companies
– Experience in implementing measures to prevent injuries and improve worker safety culture
– Minimizing risks when working at heights
The conference will take place on July 3–4, 2024 in Moscow.

The conference will be structured into thematic sessions taking place simultaneously in several halls. The list of thematic sessions will be determined based on the results of the selection of reports in accordance with the proposals received.

As in previous years, all reports presented at the conference will be carefully studied by Rosseti experts and taken into account in the course of further improving the unified technical policy in the power grid complex.
The event will be attended by more than 1,000 specialists, including representatives of Rosseti Group companies, territorial grid organizations, electric power companies of the CIS countries, power grid divisions of the oil and gas complex, and industry-specific universities.
The working language of the conference is Russian.
The conference will be accompanied by the Technical Exhibition "EEPiR", at which manufacturers will present new developments and the latest achievements.
