The amount of "clean" electricity produced in Azerbaijan in 2022 has been published

In 2022, the production of renewable electricity in Azerbaijan exceeded 1.945 billion kWh.

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote about this on Twitter.

The minister's publication states that during the reporting period, energy production from hydroelectric power plants exceeded 27.043 billion kWh.

"The share of renewable electricity on water accounted for about 1.596 billion kWh, wind - 83.3 million kWh, solar - 60.9 million kWh and at the plant for burning municipal solid waste - 205.3 million kWh ", the minister wrote.

It should be reminded that over 28.988 billion kWh of electricity was produced in the country during the reporting period (an increase of 4%). More than 3 billion kWh of electricity accounted for exports, while 137.1 million kWh of electricity were imported.
