On the sidelines of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting held on February 3, 2023 in Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the CIS Secretary General Lebedev S. and Chairman of the EEC Board Myasnikovich M. signed the Action Plan for 2023–2025 on the implementation of the Memorandum on deepening interaction between the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission dated November 27, 2018.

The document contains more than 80 events and is aimed at further deepening the dialogue between various structures of the CIS and the EEC in areas of cooperation of mutual interest, such as the digital economy, the agro-industrial complex, the development of cooperative ties in industry, energy, transport, trade, intellectual property, etc.

An important joint task for the three-year period should be the implementation of large-scale high-tech projects, the deepening of cooperation between the two organizations in the scientific, technical and innovation fields.

Great importance is attached to the involvement of youth, public associations and business communities of our states in the functioning of the Commonwealth and the EAEU, as well as solving issues of labor migration and social protection.

Emphasis will also be placed on deepening interaction in the development of regulatory legal acts in order to bring legal norms closer within the framework of the CIS and the EAEU.

It is assumed that the adoption of the new Plan will fill the cooperation between the CIS Executive Committee and the EEC with new practical content and will help increase the efficiency of joint work.
