The EEC and the CIS Electric Power Council will continue cooperation on the implementation of coordinated energy policy

On April 21, a working meeting was held between Temirbek Asanbekov, Minister for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Taras Kupchikov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Electric Power Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

At the meeting, Temirbek Asanbekov and Taras Kupchikov emphasized the relevance and complementarity of the tasks facing integration associations in the electric power industry. This determines the particular importance of interaction within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the EEC and the EPC CIS.

The organizations will continue cooperation to assist in the implementation of a coordinated energy policy, including in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency, as well as the harmonization of processes for the formation of a common electricity market of the EAEU and a common electricity market of the CIS member states.
