It is planned to attract loans for Rogun HPP in the amount of $ 340 million. Tajikistan hopes to receive these funds in the near future from European banks.

According to the Ministry of Finance of the republic, a number of projects that are under development will require about $ 500 million for their implementation,.

A relatively large volume of investment - $ 340 million is planned to be borrowed for the implementation of the Rogun HPP construction project.

The Tajik authorities expect to receive these funds from European banks: Credit Suisse (Switzerland) and Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg (Germany).

In mid-October this year, President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon, at a meeting with the constructors of Rogun HPP, said that he had instructed the relevant working group to take specific measures to find funding sources for the construction of the Rogun HPP in 2021.

He noted that this year it is planned to allocate about 3 billion somoni for the completion of this facility at the expense of the state budget.
