The Medium-Term Tariff Policy for Electricity and Heat for 2021-2025 was approved. The corresponding decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov.

According to the adopted Medium-Term Tariff Policy, the electricity tariff for the population will not increase and will remain at the level of 0.77 som / kWh with consumption up to 700 kWh per month, over 700 kWh - 2.16 som / kWh.

The electricity consumption quota for consumers living in high-mountainous and hard-to-reach areas is canceled, that is, the tariff of 0.77 som / kWh will operate without restrictions.

Special tariffs are set for social children's institutions, electric transport, religious organizations at the level of 168 tyiyn per 1 kWh (excluding taxes).

At the same time, the increase in tariffs for social children's institutions and electric transport is 10 tyiyn or 6.3%, and for religious organizations the tariff is reduced by 56 tyiyn.

The increase in tariffs will affect only:

- pumping stations, for which the tariff will be 1.09 som / kWh (excluding taxes), increased by 31.6 tyiyn;

- budgetary, industrial, agricultural and other consumers, for which the tariff will be 2.52 som / kWh (excluding taxes), increased by 28 tyiyn;

- energy-intensive consumers of commercial structures (mining entities, gold mining companies, foundries, alcohol production, cement plants), for which increasing coefficients will be applied.

In subsequent years, tariffs will be changed taking into account the inflation rate.

The funds will be used to upgrade equipment, install transformer substations, build power lines and increase generating capacity.

Heating tariffs for the population in 2021 will not change and will remain at the rate of 1134.76 som / Gcal.

Starting from the next heating period, tariffs for the population will increase by 10% (on average, for heating a 1-room apartment, the difference in payment will be about 82 soms per month or 410 soms for the heating period).

Hot water tariffs for the population in 2021 will also remain unchanged and will amount to 981.76 som / Gcal.

Starting next year, the increase in tariffs for hot water for the population will be 14%. On average, the difference in payment for hot water per person will be 34.5 som / m3 per month. This will allow reaching the level of hot water supply cost in a few years, which will ensure replacement and reconstruction of heating networks, modernization of heating points, connection of new subscribers.
