The Kyrgyz Republic is ready to resume joint projects with the Russian Federation in the field of hydropower, to implement such large projects as the Kambarata-1 HPP and the Upper Naryn cascade of HPPs, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He recalled that "the launch of a strategically important project for Kyrgyzstan, the Talas gold ore plant at the Jerui deposit, is a successful example of investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia". “The Kyrgyz Republic will continue to support such projects. We believe that such projects contribute to increasing the potential of the mining industry and the development of the country's economy as a whole”, Kazakbayev is sure.

According to him, such Kyrgyz fields as Terekkan-Perevalnoe-Terek, Makmal, Taldybulak Levoberezhny, Kuru-Tegerek, Buchuk, Shambesay, Shyralzhyn, Kumbel can be considered as potential objects of joint development. “We are also ready to resume joint projects in the field of hydropower, for the implementation of such large projects as hydroelectric power plants Kambarata-1 and the Upper Naryn cascade of hydroelectric power plants”, the minister emphasized.
