The meeting of the Working Group "Updating and harmonizing the regulatory and technical framework for regulating the electric power industry within the CIS" was held on September 18, 2020

The 34th meeting of the Working Group "Updating and harmonizing the regulatory and technical framework for regulating the electric power industry within the CIS" was held on September 18, 2020 in the format of a video conference.

In the meeting of the Working Group "Updating and harmonizing the regulatory and technical framework for regulating the electric power industry within the CIS" took part representatives of the relevant ministries and national electric power companies of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Bureau for Standards of the IGS CIS and ITC 541 / TC 016 "Electric Power Industry", the EPC CIS Executive Committee staff.

The meeting of the Working Group was opened by I. Kuzko, Chairman of the CIS Electric Power Council Executive Committee.

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Working Group N. Lelyukhin,.

The meeting participants approved the Agenda of the Working Group meeting.

Based on the results of of the main Agenda’s issues consideration, the participants in the meeting of the Working Group made the following decisions:

- Take into account the information of ITC 541 on changes in the composition of the committee: the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic have become full members of ITC 541;

- Recommend the relevant ministries and national electric power companies to organize interaction with the authorized representatives of the member states of ITC 541 to plan and participate in standardization activities;

- Continue work on studying the experience of the CIS member states power systems in terms of digital transformation of the electric power industry.

- The CIS EPC Executive Committee should send a request to the relevant ministries and electric power companies of the CIS member states to submit by November 1, 2020 proposals on the layout (content, sections) of status report on digital transformation of the electric power industry in the CIS member states;

- Approve the draft Amendments to the Regulation on the Working Group "Updating and harmonizing the regulatory and technical framework for regulating the electric power industry within the CIS" taking into account the discussion results;

- Express gratitude to N. Lelyukhin for longstanding and constructive leadership of the Working Group "Updating and harmonizing the regulatory and technical framework for regulating the electric power industry within the CIS".

-  Approve the candidacy of Grigory Gladkovsky, Deputy Chief Engineer of PJSC Rosseti, for the position of Head of the Working Group “Updating and harmonizing the regulatory and technical framework for regulating the electric power industry within the CIS”.

- To hold the 35th meeting of the Working Group in Moscow, March - April 2021.
