The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, PJSC Rosseti and PJSC RusHydro at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum concluded an agreement on cooperation.
The agreement was signed by the head of the Ministry of Energy Nikolai Shulginov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, General Director of PJSC Rosseti Andrey Ryumin and General Director of PJSC RusHydro Viktor Khmarin.
The subject of the agreement is interaction and information exchange in the field of manufacturing and supplying products for the needs of the electric power industry. The main tasks are to ensure the stable operation of the power grid complex and the timely implementation of investment projects of the companies in the sector, to maintain the stable operation of Russian organizations that manufacture products for the power industry.
“One of the key tasks within the framework of the signed agreement is to create conditions for the accelerated production development of domestic analogues for replacement of imported products. PJSC Rosseti and PJSC RusHydro have identified a list of the most demanded high technologies and prepared for implementation road maps providing for their development", Nikolai Shulginov commented. "Currently, one of the most important areas is the development and widespread use of intelligent control systems in the electric power industry", the Minister noted.
“Import substitution is a strategically important area for Rosseti. Most of the company's purchases already come from Russian manufacturers. Cooperation with them allows ensuring the technological security of network facilities, stimulates the development of industry innovation infrastructure. The signed agreement provides for measures to master the production of complex high-tech products that will be competitive not only in the domestic market, but also abroad, ”stressed Andrei Ryumin.
RusHydro Group, owning more than 22 thousand substations and 105 thousand km of power grids, annually invests billions of rubles in their expansion, modernization and repair. In the context of the implementation of a large-scale and ambitious import substitution program, we, like other energy companies, are in much need of a complete list of Russian-made high-tech power grid equipment. The signed agreement will help domestic industrial enterprises, in coordination with us and Rosseti, to accelerate the release of a significant number of power grid equipment items that are not yet produced in Russia and which all energy companies are forced to purchase from foreign suppliers, ”said Viktor Khmarin.
