The National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic spoke about the volume of electricity produced in 2022

In the Kyrgyz Republic in 2022, energy industry enterprises produced 13.9 billion kWh of electricity, which is 8.3% less than in 2021. This is reported by the National Statistics Committee.

Moreover, about 86% of its volume is generated by hydroelectric power plants. Electricity production and distribution in 2022.

In 2022, 16.1 billion kWh of electricity was consumed. 550 million kWh of electricity was supplied (exported) outside the republic, which is 0.7% more than in 2021.

Of the total volume of electricity consumed, about 132 million kWh were used for own production and economic needs, which is 9% less than in 2021.

Along with this, in 2022, compared to the previous year, electricity consumption in industry increased (including electricity for household needs and to the population) - by 0.4%, in construction - by 5.5% and in the education sector - by 1 .7%.

At the same time, electricity consumption in agriculture (including electricity for household consumption and population) decreased by 2.1%, as well as in the activities of hotels and restaurants - by 3.7%.

Total electricity losses in 2022 amounted to about 2.4 kWh, of which 95.2% were technological losses.

More than half (57%) of the volume of usefully supplied electricity in 2022 came from industry (including electricity for municipal needs and population), 25% - from agriculture (including of electricity for household consumption and population), and the share of other industries in its total volume amounted to 18%.
