The Republic of Uzbekistan - indicators of generation, supply and import of electricity for January-May 2023
Generation: 31.9 billion kWh of electricity was generated in January-May. This is 1.0 billion kWh or 3.3% more than in the same period last year.
Supply: During this period, 27.0 billion kWh of electricity was supplied to consumers of the republic. This figure is 1.6 billion kWh or 6.5% more than in the same period in 2022.
Import: in January-May, 2.5 billion kWh of electricity was imported to cover the growing domestic demand. This is 384.6 million kWh or 18.6% more than in the same period last year.
Export: in January-May, 1.1 billion kWh of electricity was exported. This is 243.2 million kWh or 18.5% less than in the same period last year.*
