The results of 2023 were summed up at a meeting of the Council of the State Production Association Belenergo
On February 21, a meeting of the Association Council was held in Minsk, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Energy Sergei Reentovich and Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Energy, Gas and Fuel Industry Workers Igor Zhur, members of the Council, heads of organizations and heads of structural divisions of the management apparatus. At the meeting, the results of the work of the association’s organizations in 2023 were summed up and the main tasks for the current year were identified.
During the reports, it was portended on the implementation of the reported key performance indicators, technical and economic indicators of the operation of the power system and the completed energy saving targets.
It was noted that the association’s organizations ensured reliable electricity and heat supply to the republic’s consumers, the volumes of electricity production and consumption increased compared to the same period in 2022. Systematic work continued to update fixed production assets and improve the reliability of the power system.
The results of the repair company, issues of occupational health, safety, and injury prevention were discussed in the report of the First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of the Belenergo State Production Association, Yuri Shmakov. The repair work on electrical and heating equipment was completed in full. There was a decrease in the number of equipment failures at main plants, as well as the number of emergency shutdowns of 35-750 kV overhead lines.
Repair and construction of heating networks were completed in the amount of 263.8 km in single-pipe terms. According to data for 2023, about 2.7 thousand km of 0.4-330 kV power transmission lines were put into operation after construction and reconstruction.
The tasks for the current year included the implementation of schedules for all types of repairs, planned measures to improve the reliability of heating and electrical equipment, maintaining the trend of reducing the number of failures in the operation of all types of equipment, forward movement to introduce and improve the Zero Injury Concept, improving the overall production culture.
Yuri Mitkovets, Deputy General Director of Belenergo State Production Association, spoke about the results of the implementation of the most important investment projects last year.
The most ambitious event was the commissioning of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant. Modernization of the electrical grid infrastructure continues. The 110/10 kV substations Atlant, Severo-Zapadnaya, Dubrova, Worsted Plant, Zhabinka, Cherkassy, Aerodromnaya-2 were put into operation.
The main tasks for 2024 include the implementation of projects for the construction of peak-standby power sources, the completion of projects for the installation of 330 kV shunt reactors, the completion of the reconstruction of the 220 kV substation "Stolbtsy", the implementation of the completed task for the construction, reconstruction of electrical networks and heating networks.
Deputy General Director of GPO Belenergo Alexander Torch in his report analyzed the results of indicators in several areas: saving in the use of light petroleum products, delivery of scrap metal, reduction of inventories in warehouses, export of goods and services. The Deputy General Director also spoke about the progress of the implementation of youth policy in the organizations of the association in 2023.
The results of the financial and economic activities of the organizations and the implementation of the indicators of the business development plans of the organizations were reflected in the report of the Deputy General Director of the Belenergo State Production Association Tatyana Ulashchik. As for the implementation of action plans to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of use of material and financial resources, the reduction in the level of costs for the production and sale of products, works, and services for the association as a whole amounted to 78.5 million rubles.
Issues of the state and discipline of consumer payments for supplied energy, automation of sales processes were voiced by Andrey Shershen, Deputy General Director of the Belenergo State Production Association. The level of collection of funds for electricity and heat supplied to consumers was 100.5%. The share of single-phase electronic electrical energy metering devices among household subscribers increased to 99.35%. Work to improve and increase the efficiency of sales activities will continue.
During the meeting, reports were also heard on strengthening requirements for management personnel and employees of organizations, on increasing labor and performance discipline, on working with appeals, and on anti-corruption activities.
The chairman of the industry trade union, Igor Zhur, spoke with information about the implementation of the industry Tariff Agreement by association organizations in 2023, noting that trade unions in organizations always guard the interests of workers.
The heads of regional energy supply organizations also described the main results of their organizations’ activities in 2023.
The Chairman of the Council - General Director of the State Production Association "Belenergo" Pavel Drozd thanked the leaders and teams of the association's organizations for the work done and aimed at the unconditional fulfillment of the assigned tasks.
Deputy Minister of Energy Sergei Reentovich, addressing the audience, noted that the final assessment of the activities of the association’s organizations will be announced at the board of the Ministry of Energy, which will be held on February 23. In general, the main indicators have been met, but there is still work to be done.
The Deputy Minister called on leaders to take more initiative from the ground and make proposals to improve work, and not just identify problematic issues. He also emphasized more thorough and detailed approaches to planning.
During the meeting, the work plan of the Belenergo Council for 2024 was approved.
