The share of renewable energy generation in the UES of Russia for 9 months of 2021 increased by 0.2% - up to 0.5

The total generation of renewable energy sources (WPP and SPP) in the UPS of Russia in September 2021 amounted to 445.2 million kWh, over 9 months - 4094.8 million kWh, according to the Telegram channel of the System Operator (SO).

According to SO data, in the structure of power generation in the UPS of Russia, these indicators are 0.5%.

At the end of 9 months of 2020, renewable energy generation accounted for 0.3% of the total electricity production in the UPS of Russia.

The WPP's generation in September of this year amounted to 243.3 million kWh, which is 79.9% more than in September 2020. Since the beginning of the year, WPP’s output has increased by 160.5% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 2,162.8 million kWh.

SPP’s output in September decreased by 4% and amounted to 201.9 million kWh. Since the beginning of the year, SPPs have generated 1,932.1 million kWh, which is 15.4% more than in the same period last year.
