The SoyuzMash Commission of Russia on Energy Efficiency discussed the mechanisms for introducing a new industry professional standard.

The meeting was chaired by Andrey Murov, First Deputy General Director of PJSC Rosseti. Representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Russian Energy Agency of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, organizations - members of the Union, specialized associations and industry associations took part.

The key topic of the meeting was the application of a professional standard for specialists in energy conservation and energy efficiency, approved by the Russian Ministry of Labor. The document will come into force on September 1, 2023 and will define the main functions of employees in this area and the requirements for education.

“The appearance of such a standard is important not only for the heads of organizations, but also for specialists who are directly involved in the energy efficiency problem. This is a multifunctional document that can be used for personnel management, independent qualification assessment. It will work for the long term, because it will allow creating educational programs in accordance with the real requirements of the market,” Andrey Murov said.

Also, the meeting participants discussed the improvement of the GIS "Energy Efficiency", which contains regulations and a list of the most successful energy saving projects. Based on the results of the discussion, the commission members will submit proposals on best practices, which will be submitted to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development for integration into the system.

The Commission for the Development and Implementation of Technologies in the Field of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of the Russian Mechanical Engineers Union under the leadership of Andrey Murov has been operating since 2019. Its main task is to promote the improvement of the energy efficiency of machine-building enterprises and the development of the production of relevant products for other industries. The commission includes representatives of federal executive authorities, enterprises, financial institutions and educational organizations.
