Turkmenistan and Russia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in power sector

The co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuku held online talks.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads of a number of key ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and Russia also participated in the negotiations.

The parties discussed the current situation and prospects for extensive cooperation between the two countries. The high level of Turkmen-Russian relations under the leadership of the Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation heads of state was confirmed.

Following the results of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation on cooperation in in power sector.
