Uzbekistan produced 52.2 billion kWh of electricity in 8 months

Uzbekistan produced 52.2 billion kWh of electricity in January-August 2023, which is 5.8% more than the same period in 2022. This was reported by the Inspectorate for Control over the Use of Electricity, Oil Products and Gas under the Ministry of Energy.

The inspectorate noted that in the reporting period, over 13.06 billion kWh of electricity was supplied to the population. The increase compared to the same period in 2022 was 18.4%.

It should be noted that in January-August 2022, 49.3 billion kWh of electricity was produced in Uzbekistan. The volume of electricity supplies to the population for 8 months of 2022 amounted to 11.04 billion kWh of electricity.
